Self-Care for

How We Heal
I found this book while browsing for BIPOC-written books at a bookstore, and I'm so glad I did. Alexander Elle shares her own story and healing journey while also guiding readers through their own healing via reflection prompts. I've found many excerpts from her text to be inspiring fodder to share with others and also provide myself with small doses of self-care.
Warming, Weighted, Scented Neck Pillow
In just two minutes, you can experience spa-like relaxation with this neck pillow. The cover is removable and washable, and while I have the lavendar-scented pillow, they also have options for other scents. Just make sure to warm the pillow in 30-second increments so as not to burn it!
Organic Aloe Vera Gel
This gel is not like the sticky gels you purchase at your neighborhood grocery store or pharmacy; it's clean, cool, and more watery than gel-like. I love using it to cool my skin, especially when I get too much sun. It contains only organic aloe, so it contains no scent, no chemicals, or additives. All-in-all, it's a great self-care skin product.
Long-Lasting Scented Soy Candles (3-pack)
I'm picky when it comes to candles. I don't like over-powering scents, anything that smells artificial, or anything that burns too quickly or unevenly. For me, these candles create just the right level of fragrance, last a long time (especially for their size,) and burn evenly. Plus, the tins are beautiful and can be repurposed for other around-the-house uses.
